We provide a fun and immersive environment for kids to learn, improve, and practice the German language! Our teachers have decades of experience and are excited to share German language and culture with your kids.

Wo? We meet at Central Presbyterian Church (3829 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA).

Wann? Classes are Saturday mornings 10am – 11:30am

Preschool & Kindergarten students (age 2-5) with German experience at home (Heritage & Native) together with parent/grandparent

Students Grade 1-9 with German experience at home (Heritage & Native)

Wie viel?

Heritage Preschool/Kindergarten attend with a parent: $59.50

Heritage Grades 1-9: $94.50

Learn about the classes:

In our Preschool/Kindergarten class (beginner class), ages 2-5 years, children attend with a parent or grandparent. Children in this group are just beginning to discover language. We read stories, play, sing, dance, make crafts, and much more. Basic German language knowledge by accompanying parent/grandparent would be helpful, but is not required.  

1st grade and older students attend classes independently. Children will be placed in groups with peers of the same or similar age.

During the classes we explore different themes while playing games, reading stories, making crafts and doing a number of fun activities and projects.

Younger kids, our intermediate class, practice their German language abilities with mostly interactive and hands-on activities. 

Older kids, our advanced class, will work on extending their vocabulary while exploring literature and practicing German grammar rules.
